Caleb Community, September 2026

In Pastor Ronnie’s message this morning he talked about spending time with “your people.” Well, for we seniors at Edgewood Church, the Caleb Community is our people.

This group has been meeting once a week for decades. The name changed 20 or so years ago but the idea was the same, a weekly meeting for the senior community of our church.

In that time some have graduated on to heaven but there are regulars who have been part of the group longer than I for sure.

The format is to bring a brown bag lunch and couple that with a goodie someone else provides. This provides a chance to catch up with what is going on in each other’s lives. We then share a lesson which includes a video from RightNow Media and discuss that. We wrap up the 90 minutes sharing prayer requests and praying around our tables.

We have a couple of special events planned for September. On the 16th Ingrid will share her story about a ministry she is involved in. It will also mean asking her questions about her life and walk with God. Then on the 23rd Pastor JJ will lead us in a hymn sing. Our group does enjoy singing some of the hymns out of the hymnals stored in the cabinet.

We are currently going through a series in RightNow Media titled Women Leaders in the Early Church. This puts some depth on names that we often read right by. We anticipate being in this series through the end of November at our current rate.

If you have questions on the group or our study, you can call or text Randy M or the church office.

We would love to have you join us any Wednesday at noon in the Student Center.
