Leadership

Ronnie has been shaped by his Christian education at Valley Christian High School in San Jose California, and an M.A in Ministry & Leadership from Western Seminary in Portland. Prior to coming to Edgewood Church, Ronnie pastored in Woodinville Washington over a 10 year period at two different churches, serving in various roles including middle school pastor, high school pastor, pulpit supply, associate pastor, men's ministry lead and campus pastor. Additionally Ronnie has gained valuable education with a  B.A. in Marketing & Management from University of Oregon and the unique experience of playing in the NFL over 7 years on 3 different teams including our hometown Seattle Seahawks as well as the  New England Patriots & Atlanta Falcons.  On top of his NFL career Ronnie also spent 13 years in healthcare in pharmaceutical sales as well as time at a cancer diagnostic company.   Ronnie is a native of California, educated in Oregon, married to an Alaskan and settled in Washington.  Ronnie has been married for over 3 decades and has two daughters and a son in law. Ronnie enjoys motorcycling, reading, hearing people's stories and a good NFL matchup.

Jeff (or JJ) grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He originally began his ministry with the music ministry of CRU, and has since been a Worship Pastor at churches in Southern California, Atlanta, and both the Seattle and Portland areas. Jeff is passionate about creating environments that enable the believer to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. He is married to his lovely wife Sherry, and they have two adult children, Josh and Taylor, a daughter-in-law Sydney, and two granddaughters, Jules and Daisy. Jeff and Sherry love to spend their time antiquing, walking on the beach searching for sea glass, or frequenting various coffee houses. They both now consider the Pacific NW their home and have been captivated by the beauty of God’s creation here. Jeff and Sherry both have a shepherd’s heart and are passionate about sharing the love of Christ with others.

Khyra is a long-time member and a key contributor to the week-to-week operations at Edgewood. As the Executive Assistant, and people-organizer, she wears many hats and keeps things running smoothly. She is married with two grown children. When she’s off the clock,  you’ll probably find her happily pulling weeds in her garden (don’t judge), binge-watching a great TV series, snuggling with her Bernese Mountain dog, or helping her husband work on their property in Eastern Washington.

Kris is a certified Special Education teacher, mother of 2 grown daughters and has a big heart for kids. She has 7 years under her belt as a Special Ed teacher in the Northshore School district, 7 years as a Director of Student Ministries (middle school & high school) in a former church and she excels at organization & inspiration of young people for Christ.  Her talents include planning & executing international mission trips, youth camps (summer & winter) and regular training for serving roles in the ministries she directs.   

Currently attending Biola University as a remote student and serving as our Youth Intern, Ben grew up at Edgewood Church, graduating from King's High School in Seattle, Washington . Ben has a passion for ministry and seeing young people discover their identity in Jesus.
