Come Let Us Adore Him

O Come let us adore Him Christ the Lord! This is the chorus from the familiar Christmas carol “O Come All Ye Faithful.” From my earliest memory I can recall singing this song. Through the years the song has been a part of most every Christmas celebration I have ever experienced. But what does the word “adore” mean? When I looked up the definition, it says: to love, admire, and respect someone deeply, often with a sense of worship or reverence. When I read that definition it’s clear to me, that to truly adore someone, it’s crucial to KNOW that someone. And that person is Jesus Christ. This Christmas season, if you do not know Jesus personally, there is no better time to receive him as your Savior and Lord. O Come let us adore Him!
