Caleb Community, May 2026

As you may recall from last month, we are going through a series on Wednesdays titled “Finishing Well.” In it the speaker uses different Bible characters to illustrate how they served, or did not serve, God in their later years. At this point in our lives, it is fair to ask ourselves are we living lives that honor and serve God or not?

An example this past week in my own life is a belt. A belt I probably spent too much money for a few years ago. It is made from Bison leather. Rugged and has many years of life left in it BUT it no longer served its purpose. I have been working to lose weight. And praise God I have lost some. But in the meantime, that belt, even on the smallest hole, no longer held up my trousers. So, what should I do? Leave it in my closet? Donate it? Throw it out? Instead, I decided it needed to change. I took it to the local shoe repairman and had it shortened by 2 inches. It now serves its purpose and I can again wear it.

Is there a change you need to make in your life and service to God because of changes in your physical or mental ability? If so, do you have the courage to ask God to show you the way and with the power of the Holy Spirit make that change? Don’t fret over things in the past. How will you live today? How will you serve God with the time you have left?

We continue to meet each Wednesday at noon in the Student Center. We would love to have you join us. We eat our brown-bag lunches then go into the lesson for that week followed by shared prayer time. We finish by 1:30.

If you have questions call or text Randy M or the church office.
